Sips & Tips from Joe's Seafood, Prime Steak & Stone Crab

Valentine’s Day is right around the corner!  Complete your perfect meal with a beautiful bottle of bubbles.   Joe’s Champagne & Sparkling Wine selections cover the globe, from Epernay, France to the Willamette Valley of Oregon. The following selections represent industry leading regions for sparkling wine production.

In France, if it’s not made in Champagne, sparkling wine is called Crémant. Tangerine in color with notes of white peach and pineapple, 2009 Champ Divin, Champ D’Etoiles, Cremant du Jura $65 is a luscious blend of Chardonnay & Pinot Noir. A delicious aperitif or match with our Shrimp and Scallop Ceviche.

High above Sonoma County in Green Valley, Joy Sterling and the team at Iron Horse are leading the way for quality sparkling production in California. 2007 Iron Horse, “Wedding Cuvee”, Blanc de Noirs, Sonoma, California $82 is romance in a glass. Predominately Pinot Noir, pale rose in color, with notes of strawberry and apricot. Pair with Joe’s crispy Fried Chicken or Havana Dream Pie.

As the only Récoltant-Manipulant (grower/producer) in Merfy, France, NV Chartogne Taillet, Cuvee Saint Anne $98 is turning heads with this delicious blend of Chardonnay, Pinot Noir and Pinot Meunier.  Rich & creamy with hints of golden delicious apple and toasted brioche, this terrific selection is perfectly matched with Chilean Sea Bass.
