Notes: "Nose of cassis, cocoa and smoked meats; highly definitive of Napa Valley Cabernet Sauvignon. Generous, yielding nose…frivolous, young, natural. Aromatic nuances of fruit cellar, pantry, berries, with a backgound of vanilla, oak and alcohol. The structure is subtle and harmonious on the palate; very broad coverage, chalky texture, (unfined) sweet tannins. Sufficient acidity to balance. Void of abrupt astringency; ripeness of fruit is very evident. Ripeness is a key element of this wine. Flavors: Cassis, cinnamon coffee. Sweet. Slight bitter berry. Slight grape pomace. Ripe berry. There are unrevealed qualities: yearning, alluring…suggesting a youthful wine. A dark ruby Cabernet, with a meshing of dense and lush characteristics."
