Sips & Tips for Joe's Seafood, Prime Steak & Stone Crab

The Willamette Valley of Oregon is, by comparison, quite young in the wine-producing world; however, in a very short amount of time, this region has emerged as a premier destination for visitors to experience world class wines that over-deliver on quality. Joe’s is excited to announce that from July 18-24 we will be pouring the following selections from Domaine Serene, an industry leader for quality wine production in Oregon.  We look forward to seeing you!

This proprietary rosé offers notes of perfectly ripe raspberry on the nose, supported by subtle red fruits on the palate. The Domaine Serene “R” Rose, Oregon ($15 per glass) is precise and polished on the finish, making this a perfect aperitif to enjoy on a beautiful summer afternoon.

A flagship wine in the portfolio, this wine exhibits notes of citrus blossom and stone fruit. Hints of nectarine, followed by firm acidity on the finish, make the Domaine Serene “Evenstad Reserve” Chardonnay, Dundee Hills, Oregon ($13 3oz / $26 6oz) a great complement to our Dover Sole with Brown Butter Sauce.

Produced from 100% Pinot Noir, the Domaine Serene “Coeur Blanc” Dundee Hills, Oregon ($18 3oz / $36 6oz) is an extremely unique wine. The process involves pressing the red grapes without skin contact, resulting in white wine that is straw bright in color. Full and rich notes of ripe apple on the palate, complete with a balance of texture and acidity on the finish, make this, quite literally, a white wine for red wine drinkers.  It is a delicious match with our North Atlantic Jumbo Lobster Tail.

Complex notes of red fruits, followed by hints of baking spice and potpourri, the Domaine Serene “Evenstad Reserve” Pinot Noir, Willamette Valley, Oregon $14 3oz / $28 6oz is the red equivalent to the flagship Chardonnay listed above.  Delicate hints of cherry and raspberry finished with the perfect balance of tannin and acidity allow for an excellent pair with our Salmon Au Poivre.
