Sips & Tips for Joe's Seafood, Prime Steak & Stone Crab

We’re heading to the Pacific Northwest to feature two wines from the extraordinary winemaking duo of Dan & Amy Wampfler. Stop by one of our three Joe’s locations from April 15-21 to enjoy a glass of these incredible selections.

Spanish for bee, Abeja (pronounced ‘ah-BAY-ha’) is an industry leading winery with a focus on environmental preservation and respect for the land from which their grapes are sourced. The Abeja, Chardonnay, Washington ($15 per 6oz / $60 per bottle) is meticulously crafted, with aromas of mandarin, lemon verbena and nutmeg. Fresh minerality meets apricot and honeysuckle on the palate, making this wine a perfect pairing for our delicious Bone-In Alaskan Halibut.

As a Washington native, actor Kyle MacLachlan has always known of the tremendous potential for producing world-class wines in the Evergreen state. In 2005, Kyle launched his own label, Pursued by Bear, Cabernet Sauvignon, Columbia Valley, Washington ($25 per 6oz / $100 per bottle).  Pursued by Bear is not only the project’s namesake, but also a stage direction in Shakespeare’s “The Winter’s Tale.” This lovely cabernet is packed with notes of black cherry and currant that are lifted by elegant aromas of lavender and fresh spice.  It makes a great match for our Signature Bone-In Porterhouse.

Wine Tip This month we’re hosting Kyle MacLachlan (Pursued by Bear) & Kristie Adams (Abeja) for a very special wine dinner at Joe’s DC. For more information, click here.
