Sips & Tips for Joe's Seafood, Prime Steak & Stone Crab

Our February Somm Series will feature Napa Valley’s Spottswoode Winery.  Joe’s is excited to offer glass pours of two of their incredible wines, from February 18-24.

The Novak family has been crafting world-class wine for several generations at the beautiful Spottswoode estate, which was founded in 1882.  Their Spottswoode, Sauvignon Blanc, Napa County / Sonoma County, California ($17 6oz / $68 per bottle) is quite a gem, touting generous notes of lemon and lime zest followed by a delicate citrus blossom.  This wine is a beautiful match for the Sauteed Branzino.

The Spottswoode estate was once known as Lyndenhurst, in honor of the linden trees which adorn the property gardens. Commemorating the past, they now produce Lyndenhurst, Cabernet Sauvignon, Napa Valley, California ($35 6oz / $140 per bottle) with the same craftmanship that goes into every bottle of Spottswoode.  Notes of blueberry and blackberry mingle with clove and nutmeg to create a great pairing for our 24oz Dry Aged Bone-In Ribeye.

Wine Tip Next month we’re hosting world-renowned winemaker Raul Perez for a very special wine dinner at Joe’s Chicago. For more information, click here.
