(Web ONly 2007) The 2006 Ladera Napa Valley Cabernet Sauvignon is a blend of Cabernet (92%), Malbec (3%) and Petite Verdot (5%) from the Lone Canyon Vineyard and the Ladera Howell Mountain vineyard. While Cab character surely dominates, the addition of Petite Verdot thickens the mid-palate and the Malbec contributes dark fruit flavors and aromas. Blackberry and raspberry notes are lifted by subtle floral tones and slightly spicy pepper highlights. Extracted, soft and plush, this is drinkable and bold now, but with the structure to age for about a decade. " K&L
